Why I Started Corgi Media Group

Every meaningful journey begins with a story, and Corgi Media Group is no different.
For most of my life, I have been drawn to careers centered around service. I proudly served as a United States Marine before beginning a career in law enforcement, later continuing my military service in the Army National Guard. Over the course of more than two decades in law enforcement, I had the privilege of serving in a variety of assignments, working alongside dedicated professionals who committed themselves to protecting and serving their communities every day. Those experiences shaped not only my career but also my perspective on leadership, integrity, and the importance of building trust.
After retiring from law enforcement, life presented me with another incredible opportunity—teaching in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Living and working in Vietnam allowed me to experience a different culture while reconnecting with my family's heritage. It also reminded me that, regardless of where we come from, people share many of the same values: family, community, hard work, and a desire to make a positive difference.
Throughout those experiences, I realized that many of the most inspiring stories are never featured in the headlines. They belong to the police officers who quietly serve their neighborhoods, the military veterans who continue giving back long after their service, the first responders who answer difficult calls, the small business owners who strengthen their communities, and the everyday people whose acts of kindness often go unnoticed.
That realization became the foundation for Corgi Media Group.
My goal is to build a platform where those stories can be shared with honesty, professionalism, and respect. Through podcasts, articles, photography, video production, travel experiences, and community-focused storytelling, Corgi Media Group seeks to highlight the people and experiences that deserve greater recognition. As the company grows, it will also celebrate Vietnamese coffee culture, local businesses, and the connections that bring people together across different communities and cultures.
The name "Corgi" reflects something I have always appreciated about the breed itself—loyalty, intelligence, resilience, and a friendly personality. Those qualities also represent the values I hope this company embodies as it continues to grow.
This website is only the beginning. Over time, Corgi Media Group will continue expanding with new podcasts, articles, photography, videos, and projects designed to educate, inspire, and strengthen the connection between those who serve and the communities around them.
